The material covered in this course is intended to ensure safety of personnel and the protection of participating SLP terminals and depots.
This mandatory industry course is recognised by and required for entry into all participating major fuel terminals in all states and territories and is primarily aimed at petroleum transport industry drivers and contractors. Please contact us for course costs, locations and dates.
The initial course must be conducted face to face with a trainer such as Chemtrain Services. Thereafter it must be renewed "on-line" every two years.
Participants must hold or be enrolled in a Dangerous Goods Driver Licence course. Contact Chemtrain Services if need be. Age - Must be at least 21 years old.
The initial course is nominally 3-4 hours face to face training, HOWEVER one on one online training via TEAMs meeting etc.is allowed.
After initial training, candidates must undertake a computer-based assessment knowledge test (open book) in their own time. Chemtrain Services will provide the contact information to assist you.
This course consists of the following 4 modules:
Following successful completion of the mandatory knowledge-based computer test, participants will receive a SLP Driver ID card which is valid for 2 years. This photo card is recognisable across the industry and will contain the trainees photo identification, an SLP identification number and the ID card expiry date.
